In 2016 Bride on a Budget Events was founded & named in honor of every Bride that deserves a special day at a reasonable price. More than 80% of American couples are spending less than $100,000 on their wedding day, and more than 75% of Texas couples are spending less than $80,000 on their wedding day. In our experience, a majority of San Antonio couples have set their budget between $35,000-$55,000. This is an average budget for an average wedding in San Antonio, TX for approximately 125 guests.
At Bride on a Budget Events, most of our weddings center between 100-150 guests with budgets between $35,000-$50,000. Of course, our team is perfectly prepared to manage events with a wide variety of guest counts and budgets outside of these ranges. Every wedding is unique, and our experienced team of wedding planners, coordinators, and floral designers are here to guide you every step of the way.

FROM A ONE-WOMAN SHOW,
TO OVER 500 WEDDINGS
As the owner of Bride on a Budget Events, people often ask, “How did you get into wedding planning?” The answer isn’t what you'd expect. I wasn’t a hotel manager, I hadn’t been married, and I didn’t work in catering. I grew up in San Antonio, graduated from Burbank High School, and afterwards attended the University of Texas at Austin
(hook 'em!). But my journey in weddings began at the very bottom — as a college intern at a luxury wedding planning company. At the time, it was a way to pay my rent. But over the years, it became my passion. I poured my heart into the work, eventually earning the title of Assistant Wedding Coordinator and offered a partnership opportunity.
But after graduation, I returned home to San Antonio and launched Bride on a Budget Events, driven by the desire to bring beautiful, stress-free weddings to couples at every price point. Today, I’m proud to offer affordable wedding planning and coordination services in San Antonio, backed by years of hands-on experience and a deep love for celebrating love stories.

venue management
experience under her
belt. Mel is a mom to a
lovely son, 2 dogs, and

years of catering and
banquet experience on
the Riverwalk. She is a
sweetheart and has

Luis started assisting at
events since the age of
16, and enjoys being a
part of all our Couple's
special day! Luis

contracts, as well as day-of
